This morning temperatures were in the 20s F with an inversion in a few low lying areas. In most places winds increased some since yesterday and were blowing westerly 15-20 mph gusting to 30 mph. Today will have more warm and sunny weather. High temperatures should be near freezing and winds will blow 10-20 mostly from the W and NW.

Yesterday’s storm delivered only 1-3 inches of new snow with a little more falling south of Bozeman in Hyalite Canyon. With the snow came colder air and this morning temperatures were in the teens and single digits F. Winds were blowing all around the compass averaging 10 mph gusting to 15 mph. Sunny skies will return today. Winds may increase just a little and high temperatures should reach the mid to upper 20s F.

Today’s weather will be a gentle reminder that, yes, it really is winter. This morning under cloudy skies, mountain temperatures are near 20F with ridgetop winds blowing light and westerly. Snow flurries will fall later this morning and last through the afternoon. Temperatures will not get much warmer today and winds will be moderate at 10-20 mph. Under clear skies mountain temperatures are in the low 20s with westerly winds blowing 20-30 mph. Today will be sunny and warm with temperatures reaching the mid-30s. Skies will become partly cloudy tonight and winds will increase ahead of a cold front pushing through on Wednesday. No snowfall is expected in the next 24 hours, but scattered snow showers may tease us tomorrow.

If you are enjoying March-like weather in January, you’ll love today: sunny skies and mountain temperatures in the thirties. Ridgetop winds are light at 15-20 mph out of the west and will remain so throughout the day. Wednesday looks to be wintery with snow and wind, but if you’re actually enjoying this spring weather, don’t despair; more sunny warmth is coming on Thursday.

High pressure will remain parked over the region for the next few days making for spring like conditions. This morning temperatures are barely below freezing with the exception of the Lionhead area and Cooke City were temps are in the teens F. Wind increased over night and are blowing 10-25 mph out of the west with gust in the 40s being recorded in the Bridger Range and Hyalite. Today, temperatures will warm into the upper 30s to low 40s F under mostly sunny skies. Winds will decrease through the day blowing 10-20 mph out of the west. Above average temperatures and a quiet weather pattern will remain in place for the next few days.

A ridge of high pressure parked over the region will deliver sunny skies and mild temperatures today. This morning temperatures are in the 20s F except for West Yellowstone where temps are in the teens F. Winds are blowing 10-20 mph out of the west with a few localized gusts reaching 30 mph. Today will be another beautiful day with highs climbing into the mid to upper 30s F under clear skies and winds will continue to blow 10-20 out of the west. No snow is expected over the next 24 hours.

A ridge of high pressure will bring warm, sunny weather today and through the weekend. This morning mountain temperatures were in the 20s F with the mountains near Cooke City in the low teens F. A few valley locations like West Yellowstone had temps in the single digits F. Winds were blowing 10-15 mph gusting to 30 mph from the WNW.  Today will be a lot like yesterday but maybe a little warmer and winds will remain unchanged.

The leading edge of a high pressure ridge will move over SW Montana today. Last night ridge top winds in many places were gusting to 40 mph, but decreased this morning to 10-15 mph with gusts of 25 mph from the W and NW. Temperatures were near 20 degrees F and a little colder near West Yellowstone and Cooke City. Today will be a great one to be in the mountains. Temperatures should be near 30 degrees F under mostly sunny skies. Winds will blow 10 mph and gust to 30 mph from the W and NW. The ridge of high pressure should remain over the area through the weekend.

Early yesterday morning Cooke City squeezed out another three inches of snow while the Red Lodge Ski Area got hammered with over 20”! Currently mountain temperatures are in the high teens to low twenties under partly cloudy skies. Winds are west to southwest averaging 30 mph with gusts of 50 mph around Bozeman, and averaging 15-20 mph everywhere else. High pressure is moving in and forecasted to stay through the weekend. Today will be partly cloudy with temperatures reaching the low thirties and wind speeds decreasing.
